On Wednesday, March 7th, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of ROCOR travelled to Saint James, Long Island, New York, to bless the new home of the Brotherhood of Saint Dionysios the Areopagite. Metropolitan Hilarion blessed the many rooms of the Monastery, together with Abbot Maximos, singing “O Lord, save Thy people and bless Thine inheritance.” At the end was sung “Many Years” for both the Brotherhood and for His Eminence.
Archimandrite Maximos thanked our beloved Hierarch for his many years of kindness, supporting our Brotherhood as an angel or protector of our community. Finally, the walls and doors of the Monastery were blessed with Holy Oil, and all present enjoyed refreshments and fellowship.
