Third Visit to Baylor

|

Starting on Wednesday, November 13, Abbot Maximos, together with Hierodeacons Parthenios and Vasilios, spoke at Baylor University Chapel to a combined total of about 4,000 freshmen. The Fathers discussed the life and writings of Saint Dionysios the Areopagite (Acts 17), the liturgical life of the New Covenant, and deification as the goal of the “Good Life,” the Life in Christ.

The Fathers also led two class discussions (one on the Psalms, another on World Religions), a bible study on Matthew 6, and an evening Q&A session for two local Orthodox Churches and the Baylor OCF. It was a very good and blessed time for all.

The following is the talk at Baylor Chapel.
